The HANABI-PIV and PV Metaphase Auto-Spreaders are automated instruments that provide optimised environmental conditions for the preparation of metaphase chromosome spreads.
The HANABI-PIV automatically processes up to 48 samples and prepares up to 96 slides per run.
Temperature, humidity and airflow are set and rapidly stabilise, thus ensuring that when samples are dropped and chromosomes spread on microscope slides, they are dried in a consistent and reproducible manner.
Excessive spreading and chromosome overlaps are minimised.
The sample tubes and the slides are traceable by bar codes.
After automated spreading, the spreads on the slides can be further treated and stained to be analysed.
The chromosome spreading process for conventional FISH, CGH and G-banding analysis of samples cultured and harvested from blood, bone marrow, and similar fluids is now streamlined and is easily carried out regardless of skill level.

The HANABI PVI Metaphase Spreader has been designed to provide optimised environmental conditions for metaphase chromosome spread preparations.
Temperature, humidity and airflow are set and rapidly stabilised so when chromosomes are dropped and spread on microscope slides, they are dried in a consistent and reproducible manner.
Excessive spreading and chromosome overlaps are minimised, giving rise to better yields of analysable metaphases. The chromosome spreading process for conventional G-banding (or equivalent) and FISH analysis of samples derived from blood cells or bone marrow samples, is now more streamlined and can easily be carried out regardless of skill level. Protocols requiring cells and chromosomes are spread on the entire slide can be achieved using the tilted slide.
